Bidding Opportunities In the spirit of continuous improvement, the City of Newport has joined with BidNet Direct to establish the Rhode Island Purchasing Group to publish our solicitations with other agencies across Rhode Island. Claims
Purchasing is also responsible for the timely submission of insurance claims to the Rhode Island Interlocal Risk Management Trust for damages incurred to City property, as well as handling the direction of all other types of claims for and against the City.
